Charming decor but maintenance issues
The hotel has a unique and charming vintage decor that creates a welcoming atmosphere. However, my stay was marred by maintenance issues, such as a malfunctioning air conditioning unit and a bathroom light that needed repair. While the staff was friendly, the lack of attention to detail regarding room upkeep held the experience back.

A Memorable Stay with Great Amenities!
Our family stay exceeded expectations with friendly staff and a surprise $10 store credit. The lobby's decor added charm, and the fluffy towels made our experience cozy. We had a fantastic stay close to the University of Georgia campus. The eclectic decor made our family feel at home, and the comfy beds were a blessing after long days of exploring. The kids loved the southern breakfast options at the on-site restaurant!
My kids wished there were more activities for little ones to enjoy. A small play area or game room would have been fantastic for families.

I found Abacus to be a unique spot with a great atmosphere. The retro decor caught my eye right away. It felt welcoming, making me comfortable right from the get-go. The location was perfect for exploring Athens, being close to coffee shops and restaurants. I really enjoyed grabbing a morning coffee at the little coffee shop on site. However, I ran into some trouble with the internet connection during my stay, which made it tough to get some work done. Also, I expected more from the room amenities given the price point. The lack of a microwave and the $12 parking fee felt a bit excessive, especially since there wasn’t a big event happening. Overall, I liked the vibe but thought some improvements could be made with the facilities.

Grabbed some homemade pasta at a local spot that was pure fire! Plus, the staff were super friendly, making the vibe really chill. Oh, and the pool? It was open until 9 PM! Perfect for a night dip after exploring.
The outside of the property looked a bit tired, needing some TLC with paint and wash. Inside, the rooms had a dark vibe with a few dusty corners and a stubborn A/C that didn't chill as well as it should.

You gotta check out Madison Bar and Bistro just a hop away! Plus, the comfy beds and clean room made crashing after a day of eating and exploring a breeze.
For a college-themed hotel, they skimped on the desk and microwave. I mean, come on! Charging $12 for parking when there wasn't a game was a bit much.

The Queen Room was super cozy! Loved the vintage decor, really gave a charming vibe. The beds were comfy, making it easy to crash after exploring the area. Bathroom toiletries were nice too. Just a heads up, the room could use a bit more light, felt a little dim. Overall, a cute spot to stay!
